Mitsuru FUSION

FUSION --the blending or melting of two or more things.

In this case it is the combination of Japanese gardens, Bonsai, Haiku and Zen.

On this site you’ll find pictures of miniature Japanese and Zen- inspired gardens as well as my version of Haiku, the traditional Japanese form of poetry.

For the uninitiated, Haiku is a 17- syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. Although, Haiku has strict rules in the Japanese form, I took liberty in writing and doing my own version with regards to the theme and construction but still adhere to the basic 5-7-5 pattern.

The Bonsai and the miniature gardens were inspired by the works of my father albeit on a smaller scale, a Japanese Artist and Landscaper in his time. I also added my own ideas and now evolve to what is now what I call the “Mitsuru” versions.

So it is on this website were the ideas, the verses, the gardens were fused as one complete picture for you to enjoy.
