My name is Susan Wimbley. In June, 2002, I attended the Donna Dewberry's One Stroke Certification for Instructors and received my OSCI. My home in Red Lion, PA is full of murals, painted furniture, faux finishing and accent pieces. I started my art education early at Towson University, but got sidetracked with marriage and children. I have dabbled over the last 30 years in various crafts, but through One Stroke rediscovered my artistic direction and the JOY of teaching. People say that I have brought a unique personal flair to the One Stroke technique, adding high end touches that make it " stand out in a crowd." I have traveled to the UK and Canada to offer seminars as well as many cities around the US. It has been my privilege to have been published in The Stroking Edge, and to be featured on the cover of the October, 2003 issue of One Day Decorating as well as other issues. I have also had features in Wood Strokes Magazine and am featured in the Plaid book called One of A Kind 2 published June 2005. Recently my quest for new ways to express myself using color has led me to designing jewelry and creating "Personal Memory Quilts" combining modern and vintage beads.
