Vicki Cook: Hello again! I know I'll keep returning because there is something so exciting and unique about your collage work. Honestly, I can't take my eyes off most of the pieces! Do you sell your work? My hope is that you will continue to update Picturetrail so we can see how your art evolves and share your fresh, new ideas! Also I would LOVE to trade an ATC with you ~ just email me for a link to view my available cards (all 1/1). xo

Kristine: Dear Karenann,
I think your tribute altered book journal "Tuscon" is fabulous, and love the way you use paint. "Tuscon" inspired me to create an altered book about a recent trip to Mexico, instead of a stuffy scrapbook, and it has been a blast! I've read everything I can find that you've written on techniques, but how do you manage those wonderful southwest backgrounds like the Saguaro Cactus Page with the turquoise color peeling in places and the the burnt orange showing underneath? Not by sanding...please share!

Elizabeth Hogg: Karenann, your work is awesome. I came to the mailart from art-e-zine and am bowled over by it. There are so many details, such good colour and every placing is just right. I long to try it and know I could not do so well. I loved the journal pieces too.

carol rose Parker: I always check in at "new stuff" at art-e-zine.com, and just saw your pieces of postcard mail art. I was very fascinated and entertained — and envious of your ephemera collection. But mostly, I am enchanted by your ability to put things together — especially when you use a few words that seem to say exactly what the person in the vintage photo is saying/thinking. I've collected vintage and antique photos forEVER it seems, and have used them in other ways in my artwork; but you have inspired me to try new ways of using them. They (the people in the photos) are always so full of information that is just waiting to be interpreted by someone: artist, patron or both! Thank you for your beautiful work!
