Phonthongsy family; Kham, Heather, DeEsta, Khamero: We went into your facility to JUST LOOK. My kids and I fell in love with a 17week old puppy #244. Their dad was not with us, so we called him and he came right over and he took one look at the puppy and named her Maddie. She is such a wonderful dog and has immediatly become one of our family. We have 2 other dogs and they love her too, they all whine for each other if they are apart. Just truly one of the best experiences! Thank you for all that you do!!

: dear lifeline,
my name is vernita m. lewis, and on saturday, april 17, 2005 my mother and i visited your facility and we adopted a spaniel mix (#227). i just wanted to take time out to say thank you to all your staff for all you do. we had to put my 14-year old cocker spaniel to rest in september 2004, and it took me a long time to decide i wanted another dog. when i did, i knew i wanted a puppy and looked at a few different places such as the dumb friends, pet stores, and others but could not find anything to my liking. i heard about your organization through a petsmart store i went into checked out your website, called the hotline and received tons of information from both. but, it was not until we actually visited the facility that i finally saw what we were looking for. my mom and i adopted the almost 8 week old spaniel we named "kyan" and he has brought great joy to our lives. the monday after we got him, we took him to our old vet for his exam and were told he was in good health and should grow to approx. 40-50 pounds which is the perfect weight for us. i just wanted to take time to say thank you for first of all being in existence and giving needy puppies a home then, opening it to he general public at reasonable rates and all the information you hand out in the beginning was also a great help. kyan will start puppy school at petsmart on may 7 (because after 14 years i have forgotten sooooo much) and i think the experience will be a great teacher for the both of us. thank you again and may god bless you all for your efforts and adding new family members to families all over.
sincerely,
vernita

Wendy: Hello,
I saw your web site and just had to send a note letting you know how great I think Lifeline is.
I adopted a puppy (Tanner) in Sept.1998 after the loss of my husband. It has turned out to be one of the greatest decisions I have made and he has put the joy back into my life. I found your add in the Denver Post back then and with my daughter edging me on we visited your location. I found the volunteers very pleasant and the facility nice with lots of puppies being well cared for. I have given out the name, address and phone number of Lifeline to many over the past 6 years. I don’t have a personal credit card to make a donation but would like to contribute something in some way.
Sincerely,
Wendy Harrison

geefri: We adopted "Duke" #1981 on New Year's Day. He is a shepherd mix and our kids think he is the best puppy ever! Part of the fun is guessing what he might be mixed with and just how big he is going to be! Adopting from Lifeline was a pleasant experience. Just go with an open mind and take your time with the puppies. It was easy to feel rushed because there are so many other people there, but in the end, we took our time and made a good choice. Duke seems very happy and healthy. Soon, he will grow to fit his name.

Jeanie Draper: Greetings from an elated puppy owner. I visited the puppy rescue like I said I would on New Years day, 1/1/05, and adopted an adorable little boy. Phoenix Little Bear Draper (Rottie/shepherd). He was sleeping when I saw him and I fell instantly in love. When they put us together, he came right over with his tail wagging, I bent down and he crawled under me and plopped his fat little puppy body down and got comfy. I knew within seconds he was coming home with me. I brought my 1yr. 7mo. old Shepherd/Thai Ridgeback girl, Ginger Little Fox Draper (She looked like a fox pup when we got her), with me so they could meet before I took him home. Ginger checked him out and was ok with me holding him and playing with him. Good sign. It's been about 5 days and they adore eachother. Phoenix checked out great at the vet. He is a smart one too. Pottie training has proven to be easier than we thought. We have been blessed with two beautiful, smart, and happy fuzzies. Both of them from shelters. We have not stopped taking pictures since we got him. Thank you Lifeling Puppy Rescue for the wonderful work you do so we can share our love with special little ones like Phoenix (formally 2157).

What kind of puppies do you have?

Jeanie Draper: I am so glad I found this site! I am coming in Saturday, 1/1/05 to find a new puppy to become a member of our family. My husband and I are very excited to be getting a baby brother or sister for our Ginger who will be accompanying me on Saturday. I am so excited I can't stand it!

December 17, 2004 6:26PM
Sherry & Marty Maloney: I forgot to mention that (#1395)who is now known as Bandit's puppy card said he was 8 wks old but was guessed by the vet to have been more like 6 wks old. His card also indicated that he was a "mixed baby". We have had three different vets tell us that he is a St. Bernard mix. If we would have known that, I'm not sure my husband would have agreed because he really wanted a more medium-sized dog. The bigger the better was my opinion. BUT . . .we really love him. We both know that he is the greatest dog. We haven't lost any socks or shoes. He has chomped the remote control a couple of times to the point where he now just picks it up off the table and brings it to us. He's just so smart. If he's scolded once, he never does it again. I have never had such a calm and smart puppy. We would be happy to send pictures via email if you would like to see him now. We have started a 1 year baby book for him. Recently just added his first baby tooth. Is there a doggie tooth fairy?
Keep up the great work! I'm trying to talk my husband into a friend for Bandit so you may see us again very soon.

Sherry Maloney: We adopted our puppy on 8/21 (Puppy #1395) and he has been the greatest dog. He has been potty trained for quite some time now. He doesn't bark and knows all kinds of tricks already. I would recommend anyone I know who is looking for a puppy to visit Lifeline Puppy Rescue. He has gotten to be quite a BIG boy!

What a wonderful website!
Thank You.
I am planning our weekend now, looks like we shall be coming down the mountain for a visit.
We are hoping to find ourselves a new beautiful puppy. We've got our eye on your Akita mix!
(Our precious Sampson, also an Akita mix and adopted from New Hampshire just passed on to Heaven. Our lives are not the same without him.)
So, we are excited to make a beautiful, loving home to one of your puppies.
We'll see you soon, very soon!

Helena Manwiller: Last Aug I came up to your shelter to find only one puppy left. All the others had been taken to good homes. I was not sure but thought she was so sweet and cute that I did not drive all that way for nothing. She is the BESTEST FUZZ in the whole wide world. I can't believe how lucky I got that she was not taken right away. She is spoiled rotten and knows it to. Thank you so much for what you do, we can not imagine not having such a wonder fuzz face.
June 19, 2004 12:57AM
Courtney: You had Lefty listed as 11 weeks and a lab mix, he must have been almost 16 weeks and a Heeler mix, if we had know we would not have taken him, thanks for getting the info. wrong. I can not imagine my life with out him. He is "practly perfect in every way!"
June 15, 2004 12:19PM
Abigail Dinsmore: I sent you a message last year when Lola (Border collie mix)and I had to be apart for a few months but we are together again and I don't know what I would do without her! We live in Mississippi where I am a Biologist, I think she misses the snow and the rivers of Colorado but I get to take her to work with me out in the woods every day so she is happy. She has become great at catching frisbees and enjoys swimming in the rivers and at the beach. She turned 3 just a few days ago. Thanks again for the opportunity to adopt such a precious little girl and I hope your organization is still thriving. Sincerely, Abi

Rebecca Tobin: Your rescue is one like no other. The puppies are so well cared for. We have adopted a puppy a while back that you rescued at 1 week of age. She was pampered and thought, and still does, that she was the only dog alive. We could tell right away that she was spoiled and well taken care of. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and I am so greatful for our little girl. Thank you so much for rescueing her and giving us the opportunity to raise her after you had. I know it was hard to let her go, as the volunteer that took the most care of her cried when we left with her. I can never say thanks enough to you for her, but I hope someday to be able to adopt another puppy from you, and I know it will be as well taken care of as our little Keesha.

Alexa Salter: My family last May got a rhodesian ridge back mix that we named Dax from your rescue and he died this morning. In May when I went to the rescue my softball team came with me because we had a tournament near by. We picked out my puppy and he became our mascot and he went to every game from then on out. He was a great dog. He had many great quailities. So if you could send me a picture from the day i got him that would be wonderful. I can't find his collar he had when we got him, so i don't know the number on it. I know there were pictures taken. My softbal team was wearing red shirts that said The Fort Collins Stars on it. If you find his picture please sendit to Saltermail@comcast.net thank you, from the salter family.

Jodie Sherrier: My husband and I were devestated when we lost our 8 year old german short-haired pointer to a sudden illness. Needing to fill the gap, I searched for dogs/puppies on the web. Boy, are we glad we found your site. We were up there the next weekend and came home with Gracie, a rambunctious little german shephard mix. Thank goodness we took the "shy" one! Anyway, we were very touched by the whole experience and told everyone about it! Thanks so much.

August 15, 2003 10:20PM
Lor,13: Boy, I wish I lived on the west side of the u.s.a.Then I could adopt a puppy there! All the mixed breed puppies are 10 times cuter then some full bred pups ,which can cost up to $3500! Price shouldn't be a concern when adopting a puppy!Maybe when we go on vacation will stop by there and have a look see! I also never thought you could adopt a puppy in one day! Here on the east coast you have to wait 1-2 weeks to adopt! It's cool that you dont have to wait long for your dream best friend! I love this adoption center ,and its saving so many inocent lives! The no-put-down policy is great! Thanks for such a great organization! Keep up the good work!

Monica Lillie/Farmington, NM: I absolutely love your website. Found it on Straight Poop. God bless you for what you are doing! My husband and I have "rescued" 3 dogs and 3 cats from our local shelters! Or should I say they "rescued" us, life is never dull at our house! We are looking for a Golden Retriever/Lab mix. Prefer female, not intended for breeding, just for another addition to our family. I really like the lighter colored goldens, we will provide a wonderful loving home, with a big backyard! We are very active and go hiking quite a bit to run the kids! I know I sound picky, but we tried a Golden mix before and have decided that is what we want, but it must be a pup because I have an alpha terrier mix named Sadie and she took on the Golden mix (whom I loved heart and soul), but Sadie was here first and so we found a wonderful home for the Golden mix. But I really miss her and would love to start from scratch. We do know that Sadie gets along with pups as we have another mixed pup that wrestles her and they get along great. Good luck in all that you do!
May 22, 2003 9:25AM
Kellie: I would like so say that I love your organization. I have been to lifeline twice. The last time was with my niece in March of 2003. My niece was interested in a puppy you had on your website. We were there at 8:30 a.m. to look this puppy which was a pug mix. That is not what we left with. We ended up leaving with a lab/heeler mix. She is a great dog. However, I do think that you need to become more organized. When we asked to look at the pug mix the volunteer handed her to someone else. The rule of first come, first served should be adhered to by your volunteers. We were not the only people that had this problem, we were just the ones that stayed and looked more.I love the cause it just needs to be more organized. Hailey is the name of the puppy we got and I do think all things happen for a reason. She fits in with everyone and is just a joy.Thank you

Debi: What a wonderful idea! A rescue of just puppies.
I live on the East Coast and I don't think anyone
has given this idea a thought. Our rescue centers have mostly older dogs with few puppies.
It was fun looking over all the adorable little
faces and seeing the happiness that puppies can bring.

Kerri & Amanda Martin: Last Sunday my daughter adopted a 8wk baby boy from your organization. This week she was on spring break and had the best, most emotional week of her life. Amanda and I cried and laughed as my daughter realized all the books, research and "experienced" pet owner's opinions have little to do with the real thing, owning your own new best friend. Amanda wanted to be the perfect pet owner. This would be her child. She bought all the books, researched trainers and vets in advance, and has since last Sunday vistited 2 vets because of opposite puppy evaluations. She's learning. As of last night she found that she can bring her puppy Marley to work with her, where she spends 1/3 of her life. She is ecstatic and now knows to trust her own judgement and "maternal" qualities. Marley is a rescue puppy that will live a long, happy, healthy life. Our corporate world is high-stress and fast paced 24/7. This tiny chewing, yapping, cuddling boy is now part of our family. He has already lessened our stress and knows our life commitment to him. Thank you for Marley and your hard work and commitment to this worlds abandoned animals. God Bless all of the volunteers.

Molly Hill: Thank you so much! About two months ago my sister and I had finally talked my dad into getting us a dog. Ever since my last dog from the Dumb Friends Legue died I have been very lonely. We had given up our search for a puppy from a shelter, (this was right after Christmas), and were about to go to a breeder. We saw your ad in the paper, and decided to stop by just to check it out. There we saw our Gretchen and we fell in love. She is now 4 months old, and no longer a trouble maker. My parents say that she is one of the smartest dogs that they have ever owned. She is loving, caring, and the perfect best friend! I would just like to thank you for giving our family a chnce with this great little girl. We are starting to take her to dog parks, now that she has all her shots, and she walks away from the dogs and goes for every person she sees. She really does think that she is a human! We call her our baby, and she is the love of my life. So thank you to all of your volenteers, you have truly made an impact on our lives.

Dannie Dolan: This a great place for people that have never had any pets before and you don't have to spend more than $100 for the animal itself. Most pets cost 100s of dollars for the animal then about another 100 dollars or more for the supplies.

Vicki: Thank you so much for finding our dog for us! Sable has been the dog I've been longing for all my life. We adopted her in July of 2001, and brought her home to our family of 2 parents, two young children, and one older dog. The two dogs have become best buddies, and cant stand to be separated. Unfortunately, the time has come for the old doggie to move away (literally), and Sable will be left alone. We plan, within a week or two, to visit Lifeline, and find a new young friend for Sable. Thank you so much for the service you provide!

I am greatful to you for the care your providng for him. I have pictures of him which I carry with me daily. I have 4 big dogs already and just could not care for him. I grew attached to him instantly and feel sick inside I could not keep him. I am still trying to find a good home for him at this time so I may possibly be able to see him. Thank you for supporting these babies in situations like this. He's such a honey!

Christine: My boyfriend and I adopted what we thought was a mixed breed, but is actually known as an Australian Kelpie, back in the Summer of 2001. Her name is Cleo and she is our little kid. We love her SO much and she has brought so much joy and love into our home. We couldn't imagine our lives without her. She is gentle, kind, cuddly, an absolute perfectly well behaved dog, and has so much love to give. I could go on and on about her......I am such a proud parent!!!!
We will be back soon to find her a buddy. Keep up the good work!

Lori Casillas: In February of 2001, we adopted our black lab mix who we named "Kika." Nearly two years later, we can't express enough the happiness our 55-pound best friend brings into our lives each day. She lives to please us, and we live to love her. We hope to have her in our lives for many years to come. Everytime friends tell me they're considering brining a puppy into their lives, I recommend your organization. Best regards.

Kendra: I adopted a puppy on August 24th and I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful dog! He was 10 weeks old when I got him and has been nothing short of perfect. He was basically potty trained when I got him, sleeps through the night and has the SWEETEST disposition. He had his first vet visit last week and the vet said he was in terrific health! I just wanted to tell you I think you have a wonderful program! Thanks again!

Sharon: Just wanted to say thank you for our 7th child. When we adopted him the kids could not think of a name so we decided that we had six kids and this would just be another one so we named him seven. He's kennel said mixed mutt but he was beautiful. The vet say's he's german sheperd and heeler. Seven is a joy to us. He was potty trained in four days. He's only five months old now but we can't imagine life without him. We would not have been able to get a puppy without you because of the cost. My youngest three kids are still home and this is their first dog. We will be back. Thank you so much and keep up the good work.

Margie T.: Just wanted you to know that our two boys that we adopted from you -- Saturn in late January and Avalanche in early March -- are doing just fine. They are wonderful playmates for each other and they keep this household in stitches. We have had numerous dogs over the years and I am always amazed at the new mischief that each and everyone of them can get into. Thank you ever so much for our "boys."

AnimalLivesaver: Dear lifelinepuppyrescue,
What you do, I think is great! When I grow up I want to become a vet and go to shelters to save animals from being put down. It must be so happy for you to see the puppys go home. I want to be and do just what you do when I grow up! Thank you for saving the puppies and just to let you know that people are gracious for that.

Laurie Pitcher: We visited your puppy rescue five Saturday's in a row before we met "Kacey" our yellow lab mix dog. She is such a big part of our family now and behaves real well with her training from CO dog academy. We take her everywhere and have found some really nice dog parks in Boulder and Fort Collins. I am currently working on getting a dog park established here in Adams county.

MaryAnn Green: Hello all! I just wanted to thank you for such a remarkable job that you have done with our little angels that need homes. We have promised our little girl that when our new house is complete we will be getting a couple of dogs to add to the family. After visiting your location with your many different beautiful puppies we will definitely be adopting our furry friends from you. It's wonderful to see your volunteers striving for the perfect fit between family and newcomer.
Your pictures are a delight to view, though I was wondering if you could have some updated ones put on the site.
Thanks again for your uplifting work.

Marnie and Drew: Hello, Your site is wonderful and just what my son and I have been looking for! We want a German Shepard mix (large mix)Puppie. We really like Shepards and have had them before. Right now we have a Yellow Lab (11 y/o) with cancer and would like to have him help raise the new puppy if possible. The pups in your pictures are beautiful. We would like to find one that is primarily tan though with less black (if possible?) You people certainly know where to look so I would like for you to contact us. Please? We will come to you and pass your tests of adoption too! Thank you so much and we also appreciate what you do for dogs! God Bless you!

Gretchen Olmsted: We are so pleased with our new family member, T-Bone! We adopted her on February 9th--that very cold and windy day where we all had to huddle inside to fill out the adoption paperwork. T-Bone is a golden retriever/collie mix and now is approximately 3 months old. She is incredibly bright. She was housebroken by the third day we had her! She also is very gentle with our son Luke who has Cerebral Palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. We feel like our family is complete now that she is in our lives. Thank you Lifeline Puppy Rescue for giving us a great gift! We will mail you a picture of her soon!

Ruth Moor: It has come to our attention that anonymous people are claiming that Puppy Lifeline is actually a puppy mill. We at the Valley Humane League in Alamosa, CO, strongly disagree with these claims, and would like to offer these facts: Puppy mills only breed purebred puppies, because those are the ones which can be sold for alot of money. Generally small breeds are used because they sell better and they take less space. Anyone who visits Puppy Lifeline will see that all the puppies there are medium to large mix-breeds. Puppy mills breed for profit, the more the better, with no regard for the animals health.Puppy Lifeline is Non-Profit. Anyone who wishes can ask to see their 501C3, a document issued only to Non-Profits, and their State License. All the puppies at Puppy Lifeline get shots, worming, flea medication if necessary, and all other medical attention required by law for a state licensed facility. We at the Valley Humane League are very grateful for Puppy Lifeline. There is a huge animal problem in the San Luis Valley. A large number of animals are not spayed or neutered, and are allowed to run loose. Many are dumped (not spayed, of course). Therefore, we receive puppies from people who didn't spay their dogs. We rescue dumped puppies, pregnant dogs, and nursing mothers. Many of the nursing mothers are starving. They and their puppies are lucky to survive long enough to be rescued. Sadly many strays are shot. We rescue their puppies, many which need to be bottle fed. These are the puppies you will find at Puppy Lifeline. They travel over 600 miles round trip to get these puppies from us and other communities on their route. We are a very small shelter. If it were not for Puppy Lifeline, we would not be able to save many of these puppies. We urge anyone looking for apuppy to visit Puppy Lifeline and save a life. Every puppy they adopt out makes room for another puppy who desperatly needs a second chance. Anyone with any questions or concerns about Puppy Lifeline is welcome to call the Valley Humane League at (719) 589-0703, or contact me directly at (719) 274-5135. Ruth Moor, President of the Valley Humane League.

Danielle Bayliss: Hello! I adopted a Rottweiler/German Shepard mix, named Sebastian, from Lifeline on Dec. 16, 2000. He's over a year old now and as wonderful as he can be. He was the only male in the litter. If any of his sibling's adopted parents read this guestbook, Sebastian and I would love to know how the girls are doing. Maybe we can trade pictures, or even get them together sometime. (When we adopted him, he was listed as a Rottweiler type mix, and looked just like a little purebred Rottie. As time has gone on, the Shepherd in him has come out full force, and there is no doubt what he is mixed with!) He is a gorgeous dog, and I would just love to know what his sisters look like!

Richey Family: Our chihauha, Peaches, of 11 years died in September 2001. Our daughter was bound and determined to get another. When our friend asked her what she was looking for in a dog, she replied...one like Peaches. Our friend kindly said "you won't find another like Peaches". On January 5th 2001, we adopted a chihauha we named Triscuit. Our whole family immediately fell in love with his sweet, loving, and playful personality. No, we didn't find another Peaches, but we will never find another Triscuit either. Thanks for the wonderful volunteers....your efforts bring pyramids of happiness.

ellyn Winsted: We just had a dog (mix) and it bit two people. Also my cats would run away from it and pee all over the carpet. I really want a second chance and would like to get a puppy and start all over again. do you think that that's possible? How can i convince my mom?
January 12, 2002 9:34PM
Tim and Staci: It has been almost a full year since we brought our new puppy home with us, and while we are still not sure what mix of breeds she is, our little Savannah is certainly a one of a kind dog! She adopted a sister a few months after we got her who had been neglected, and Savannah trained our other puppy in play skills and snuggling...our house may be full of fur and mud, but it is bursting at the seams with puppy love and energy. We have since referred several people looking for puppies to lifeline, and hope to return again ourselves someday when these two calm down a bit!!!
January 12, 2002 9:22AM
Shari: We adopted a boxer mix puppy August 4, 2001, he was from a litter of 3 (one other male and a female) but was the only one left when we got there. They were born June 5 according to the papers and came from Canon City. His name is now Bruce and he's a great pup, and everyone comments on how handsome he is. I was just wondering what his siblings look like, so if their adoptive parents wouldn't mind i'd love to see their pictures! (I can send some of Bruce if you like)

Brett: Its me again, I wanted to know if lifeline would like a picture of Dakota to put on the web site. She was so beautiful and loved pictures.
November 23, 2001 10:40PM
Brett: Hi,
My name is Brett Capo and I adopted a husky mix at lifeline in march of 2000. Unlike most of the other stories, mine is not a very happy one. When I adopted her I was as happy as can be. Like someone else wrote. Dakota (the husky I adopted) was very weak when we got her but we did'nt think anything of it. Well, it seemed that she never gained her strength. Well, my family and I became very atatched to her. We would go to the park for hours at a time either playing around or just sitting in the shade. She would follow me around like I was her mother, she was my best friend. She became more and more weak untill we finally brought her to the vet. They told us that she had a low blood count. Infact they said that it was way below normal (blood count of 5). They said that we could have her get a blood transfusion but this would only give her a fifty percent chance. Of course, we were very sad and did not know what to do. In the end we got the transfusion and she lived. six months later the same thing happened all over again. This time the vet told us that she had Leukemia. They told us that the best thing to do would be to put her to sleep, so we did. I'll tell you what I couldn't stand to watch her go down like that that was the worst feeling in the world. Deep down I knew that this was the best thing to do. I conclusion I would like to say that this story should not keep people from adopting puppies, but instead I would like to ask lifeline to make more severe health checks to the puppies.

linda wood: Hi! ABSOLUTELY AN AWSOME SITE!
I am looking for a Shihtzu/Schnauzer/terrior/poodle type mixed pupppy. I miss my lap pal Daisy-dew...Shes in Doggy Heaven now. We live out-side the Denver area. She was a blk/white long hair, weighed maybe 9-10 pounds, very light hair sheder, with a half flat silly face, and semi curly tail. Her Mom was a Shihtzu/Toy-Poodle mix an very small, her Dad was a a wirehaired terrior/schnauzer mix.
I know I can't replace her but really did like her style....LOL
I am also going to add you to our favorite links pg at our web site, www.usporcelain.com if that is a problem please let us know. thanks, linda

Bobbie: Oops! We found Lifeline almost 2 years ago, 11/20/99. We visited w/o any expectations of coming home with a dog. On that week's list was a litter of schnauzer/pointers and we thought to ourselves "WHO would ever adopt that type of mix?" Well, we did! Her name is Viola, #2136, and we love her to pieces. We rescued her sister, Odessa (an airedale/terrier mix...again, WHO would adopt that type of mix?) from a local shelter this spring and the 2 of them add a whole lot of love to our home. You do such a great job. Keep up the great work. And if anyone out there has Vi's brother or sister, we would love to hear how they are doing...and are they as filled with as much vinegar as Vi? beegartner@cs.com

Tia Faulk: I think what you are doing is wonderful! I am looking for a puppy and I call you guys at least once a week to check your listings. It seems the one week I did not check you adopted out the dog I am looking for. I will faithfully continue on checking your list and hopefully you will have an american staffordshire terrier for me soon. I am looking for a female fawn. I can't tell you about the heartbreak I have had with my last dog, it is a very sad story...basically she was stolen from my home in broad daylight. I will never be able to replace her but I am desperately seeking companinship. Hopefully, you guys can help me find a new friend. Thanks for your dedication to the animals and their new owners.
Sincerely,
Tia Faulk

My husband and I adopted Ripley from you last August 17, 2001. She is an Akita mix. I am writing to thank you for letting her join our family. Carolyn Wright: Well, I'm VERY impressed with your organization. My Brother, Tom, told me about it and if HE recommends anything, it's GOT to be the best. If I ever get back to Denver, I'll certainly want to visit and meet your special little people, in residence at the time, in person. I'm going to share this website with friends. WELL DONE!
BTW, John needs a life - or a puppy to put him straight! :D:D:D Just kidding. :):):)

Steve & Lee: We adopted what we thought was Springer Spaniel puppy but turned out to be mostly Red Tri Australian Shepard - she's the sweetest, cutest dog! We love her dearly and she has enhanced our lives tremendously. A word of caution to dog owners - PLEASE make sure you feed your dog proper nutrition. Most big-name dog food companies use poor quality ingredients and your dog may develop skin, digestive, or more serious problems.

Pat & Erik: We adopted our puppy Aug. 19, 2001. 'Buster' is a Shar-Pei mix. He is the cutest puppy and has a great personality. We love him so much it seems like he's always been in our family. My 3 year old grandson helped us pick him out. He loves playing with Buster. Buster is the hit of the neighborhood with all the kids. We take him out in the evening and the kids play with him. Boy, does he sleep good at night. We are crate training him and it is working out really well. We think Lifeline Puppy Rescue is a great place to get a puppy. We took Buster to the vet for his free checkup and he is in excellent health. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful addition to our family.

Lenore Fishman: I lived in Colorado for twenty years and returned to Ohio with two of the most wonderful mixed breed dogs I could have ever hoped for. I raised them both from the time they were six weeks old. I lost one a year ago at 15.5 and the other is 15.5 and holding her own. I wish all of those who are lucky enough to adopt puppies from you the same kind of joy my two have brought me. Keep up the wonderful work!
Sincerely,

amber: I have been doing alot of research on rescue shelters. My fiance and I have just got a house and we really want a dog. I have found more information on your sight than I imagined. We are looking for something with Siberian Husky, but we will take whatever captures our hearts. We will be in sometime next month. We can't wait!!!!!!!!

KarenMcwilliams: I just gave you six rott sheltie pups yesterday and I did my share of crying because I miss the rascals but I know that they will find good homes and feel much better about you having them than having to take them to the pound. I worked for a prolife shelter in California and it was wonderful. I love animals and can't see them put down when they have their whole lives ahead of them. When they could make someone very happy.

Katie: I think you have done a real nice job with your web page. You show a lot of people that adopt puppies, puppie photos and volunteers. The one thing you seem to have forgotten is photos of the people who are in charge of your organization. I think people would like to be able to see the people who do such a great job at placing those cute puppies. I know when I'm ready to get another puppie It would be nice to know who to look for when I come there. I will tell my friends about Lifeline Puppy rescue. Till we meet, God bless all of you for saving those puppies.
Katie.

Katie Landrum: My mom is a volenteer for Pup and Cat Co. in Winder Ga. She takes dogs and cats of any age, takes care of them, and then along with Sandy, Ursule, Monic, Kim, Diana, and others she takes them to adoption day on Saturdays. If you would like to see our website go to pupandcatco.com. I know how hard it is to take care of puppies. Right now we're fostering 6 and 1 adult. Good Luck to you.

We like to go for walks and she loves to play in the water. Thank you lifeline for giving us this opportunity and for saving all those cute puppies.

Chan and Bess Simson: You have a wonderful site and a grat service. We are planning on driving up to look for a lab mix. Our last Lab mix was a beautiful Yello Lab Mix name Baby. She could talk and whisper words like Yah! and Out! and um um. She is no longer with us. It's a shame dogs con't live as long as we do, but that's life. Now we want another yellow lab mix. If we don't find one right away, that's OK. We will bring donations every time we come up. I am impressed with your site and will put a link to it on my website which is www.k9industrial.com
We are a commercial parts and support company that fetches things for businesses and just maybe someone with a soft heart will see the link and visit and make a donation. Keep up the good work.

hazel thrasher: what do you feed 8 weeks old puppy
March 16, 2001 12:43PM
Christine: Hi I adopted a puppy yesterday (Sunday March 11th) I just want to say that I have been all over looking for puppies. I was there for 5 min and laid my eyes on this little angel. (Of course I wanted to take them all... but my parents would never let me!) At first glance I knew that I had to have her, so I looked at my mom and I didn't even have to say anything she was in love with her also! I just want to say thanks to everyone at lifeline! Keep up the good work! There needs to be more places like this!!

Jennifer: I adopted Macey (a german shepherd mix) in August, 2000. She has adjusted so well, and has been so much fun to have around. She learns very quickly, and knows several tricks. She is eight months now, and not quite as big as I expected her to be. However she does think she is a big dog, and loves to play with my sisters great danes. I am so glad we found your organization, and hopefully we will be back to get another puppy!
February 13, 2001 9:50AM
Josie: I would love to see more pictures of your puppies and organization. Are there any links with more pictures?

faisal fauzi: I and my wife adopted 'Rusky' the 8 week Husky mix from lifeline about 6 weeks ago. At first I was not interested in him because he looked kind of lazy or weak. I thought he might have a health problem. So we continued observing as all of his littermates were adopted one by one. "That's it, enough looking, let's just take him if we don't wanna go home empty-handed" said my wife, who already fell in love with Rusky the first time she hug him.
As we drove home, Rusky was just laying lethargically on the back seat. At home, I soon bathed and fed him, and wow, surprise, he was just starving. As soon as he finished one and half bowl of puppy chow, he became a very energetic and active little creature. He is so smart, mastering some commands only in couple days. We have been a very proud parents as everytime we walk him, people always praise that cute little thing.
I'm doing my best training him to be a well behaved dog, but my wife always can't find it in her heart to be a little bit tough to him.
Anyway, rusky has became our precious one and a great companion for the last 6 weeks and for many years to come thanks to your organization.
Thank You and wish you all the best.

Danielle Bayliss: Hello! I adopted an 8 wk. old Rottweiler mix puppy from your shelter on December 16th. I just wanted to thank you for him. He is my best friend and the love of my life. His name is Sebastian, and he is already 40 pounds big! I am a first year veterinary student, and Sebastian keeps me motivated. I could not be happier with him. He makes me smile constantly, he is incredibly smart and very handsome, and he makes me proud every day. I can't possibly thank you enough. I can assure you that any puppy I adopt will come from your shelter, and as a practicing veterinarian, I will reccommend you to all of my "expecting" clients. Once again, thank you for bringing Sebastian and myself together. You saved his life, and brought unlimited joy to mine!

Scott & Sheri Lohmann: We adopted our first lifeline puppy in september of 2000. She turned out to be one of the most loving, sweet, and HUGE black labs that we could ever imagine, named Hannah. We ended up adopting another dog just last weekend, 1/20/01. Her name is Tiffany and she is 7 months old. She was a neglected puppy, so we have our work cut out for us. But she is a pleasure to have around and grows more loving and trusting every day.
Thank you Lifeline Puppy Rescue for allowing us to add 2 wonderful additions to our family and our lives!!!
January 27, 2001 10:41AM
Holly Carrell: My husband and I just adopted our 2nd Lifeline puppy on 1/20/01 and her name is Georgia (#92). Her sister is Scarlett and she is almost 3. They are both the light in our lives and we can't imagine life without them! We have included Lifeline in our will and encourage others to do the same if your life has been touched by a Lifeline puppy. It's important work saving these precious innocent little souls and we need to spread the word to others looking for a companion!

John and Jennifer: John and I adopted a lab/cocker mix in August 2000. Her name is Fadie and we love her very much. She is very playful and loves everyone. She is so nice, I don't think she has ever growled. Someday soon, after Fadie is spayed in January we would like to return to Life line and adopt another friend. We tell everyone about your great service and wonderful, healthy puppies you save.

Michael & Renee Stone: Dear Lifeline Puppy: In late July, 2000 we stopped by your facility merely to browse...of course, we left with a puppy. Belvedere is a beautiful German Shepherd puppy who was approximately 14 weeks old when we adopted him. He is now over 60 lbs of unbridled love and affection. As others have written, he "adopted" us. He was sitting quietly in the kennel with several other dogs when we spotted him. Our playtime with him melted our hearts and we knew we found the perfect pet. He is exuberant and very playful! He was virtually housebroken when we got him (which was great!).
As very happy Belvedere humans, we are very appreciative of the rescue work you do and have recommended you to several people...in fact, two of our collegues have adopted puppies from you as well. In the spring, we will be back to find a buddy for Belvedere...in the meantime, thanks again for allowing us to adopt this beautiful, loving, protective dog!

Vikki: I would just like to thank everyone at Lifeline for their wonderful service. We adopted a puppy from them about 8 weeks ago. She has been a joy, and blended in with our 4 other dogs beautifully. The most wonderful thing is a friend of mine adopted a puppy from Lifeline about a month ago, and she is having the same wonderful results with her new addition. Thanks again to all at Lifeline for their dedication to saving these innocent lives.

She is so sensitive and she loves to snuggle with my wife. I don't think we could funtion without her. Thank you so much for such a wonderful service. You have brought so much love, happieness and companionship to so many people. We could never put into words how much love you have brought to our lives. Thank you so much.

Sandy Cook: We adopted a chow mix (we think maybe chow/husky or chow/collie) male, 10 wks old, I believe it was the first Sunday in November. His name is BUBBA...He is such a joy and a smart boy, too. He has not once made a "mistake" in the house. Bubba has made friends with our cat, Romeo; and, is making friends with our Cockatoo, Sabrina, also. He came fom New Mexico. Thank you so much for what you folks do...the Cook family is now complete.....unless, I can talk dad into one of the adorable lab mixes you show this weekend! I would bring them all home...Thank you...Bubba is a jewel!

Jodie: I been looking for a puppy for the last six months and have had no luck at locial shelters, the cost of a puppy at pet shops is fair to much for me to spend. So far this is the most luck in schearch of a puppy that will become attached to our family. I have a new born baby and the thought of getting an older dog scares me. I think the poeple who make this happen is great and make a lot of poeple happy as well as the puppies!!! Good job and good luck in the future!

Laurie Zawisky: I adopted #1400 (better known as Kaiko!) last year. She is the best pup anyone could ever ask for. Kaiko is part Chow and ?shepard, very loyal and a great watch dog! She gets along with her "big sister" (Sabian) wonderfully. She is so full of energy and love I wonder how she doesn't run out!
I recommend you to everyone who is thinking about a new puppy! You guys are doing such a terrific job!
Thank you for my new family member. Kaiko thanks you too:)

Robin Cave: Just happened across this by accident. Cute photos. I love animals too. We've got a puppy that's 8 months old. We've had her since she's been 7 weeks. She's part of our family and we love her very much! My twin sons who are 5 like to run around with her. She's really my husband's dog. She greets him every morning and waits for him at the door as soon as she hears the lock turning. Her name is Piper. She's just so sweet. She's getting ready for her 2nd hair cut and getting spayed. She's a miniature schnauzer, pepper and salt colored. Good luck with all of the dogs! Hope they find a good and loving home.

Lisa: I recently went to Life Line to adopt a puppy as a playmate for our existing dog, Buddy, who's a 3 year old Afghan mix. I want to start by thanking you all. The staff was courteous and caring. We couldn't decide between a small brown Heinz 57 or an Akita mix puppy so we got them both. Now Buddy and his new friends Romeo and Shaq are getting along great.

Becky: Lifeline Puppy:
On May 20, 2000, I adopted puppy #892. She really has been quite a trooper. She's been on a camping trip & accompanied me on every trip I made up and down the road in my recent move. (I moved myself - there were several trips) She had her 2nd set of shots on May 31. Her final set & spay on June 26th. She likes to pee on the carpet - so I make her stay in the kitchen. (Linoleum) She'll never mess in her area - likes Rawhide, but never chews anything else up. Likes to go with the horse and on walks. LOVES children. But very excited around them and loose with her front paws. Travels great. Is a fence climber. I put a topper on her yard fence & leave an article of clothing with her when I go to work. Her name is Emma Jo. She is smaller - for an alleged Newfy mix - she will mature around 30 lbs and maybe knee high. She's in a good home.

Beasley Winfeld/Spielman: Dear Lifeline:
My name is Beasley. Actually, my full name is Mr. Beasley Wendell Winfeld/Spielman of Conifer. It's a very impressive name, I know. But then, I'm a very impressive dog. Obviously I can type. I also have my own website (which I let my person design...but I had full approval).
I started life somewhere in a place called Trinidad, Co. or at least, that's what I'm told.
When I was about 6 weeks old, you people came and rescued me and then when I was 8 weeks old, my people Liz and Sue, came and got me at Lifeline. I have been a very happy puppy since I met you all.
Now I'm just over a year old and, as I said, am a very impressive dog. I am a lab/border collie mix so I am VERY smart and I have an alpha personality in a bit of a beta body, but generally I'm very nice. I guess when I was little I was a little high strung, but now I am mostly calm. 'Cept I do like a good bark now and then and sometimes I like it so much that it takes a while for my people to get me to stop. I am very obedient and I have got Liz and Sue very well trained too. They are with me a lot and that makes me happy. We go for long walks every day and my favorite toy is a green frizzbee. I also like to drag big tree branches home and try to bury them. It's a good life.
I guess that's everything except this. Sometimes Liz and Sue have to do something called "travel" and they take me to a place called Dingo's Den where Sandy and Tina and some other really nice people take great care of me. I have lots of friends there and we play a lot. I don't like it that much when Sue and liz do this travel thing, but at least I get to go to Dingo's when they have to go away. They are so nice there that I took Liz's checkbook and wrote you a check so that you can make sure that more puppies like me get a terrific life like I have...and I want it to be from Sandy and Tina and Dingo's Den because they take great care of me too and Liz and Sue feel a lot better about leaving me when they have to do that travel thing.
Anyway, I hope this money comes in handy and we'll send more again soon as I can take Liz's checkbook again without her seeing me do it...
Thank you,
Beasley Winfeld/Spielman

Kathy Martinez: I adopted from you on 6-24-00. Her name is Cheyenne and I just wanted to say what a wonderful addition to our family she is - she fit in perfectly with our other 2 dogs, Lucky, a Boston Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier mix and Freckles our 8 yr. old Aussie mix. I will send an updated picture soon. I also want to add, that I think what you're doing is wonderful - My husband & I were very impressed by the way the rescue center is run - Keep up the good work. I was interested in doing some volunteer work - if you still need help. I work for the school district and I'm usually home by 4 pm M-F. Please feel free to call. Thanks again for all those you save.
Sincerly Kathy Martinez

Julie: I happen to run across your photo site while working on my own. Wow! I'm going to call my local shelter (Where my "Lady Lou" came from 8 years ago) and let them know of this great way to share their adult dogs, puppies and cats over the internet. I will even offer to take the pics myself if they are interested. Maybe get the local paper to do an article. This site excited me with the possibilities!

Andy: What a wonderful webpage! I wish my girlfriend wasn't allergic to pets, because I'd like to adopt every last one of those puppies. I would pose them with my stuffed walrus at www.picturetrail.com/allison5000 ... maybe I could get a thumb-sized puppy that won't shed much...?
September 14, 2000 8:15AM
Sandra Chaffin: Hi, I was going to work on my photo albums when I saw yours and couldn't help myself from taking a look. I want to commend you for the job you are doing with these pups. We need more people to care as you do. Your site brought tears of joy to my eyes. I'm a mail carrier in Southern California and walking the streets I see so many stray dogs along the way. It just breaks my heart to see them out their all alone and scared. I have two resuce dogs of my own and I've just brought in a new one off the streets. If you would like to see my pets, please go to: http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/silknlace/. Keep up the good work! Sandra from California

laurie: Dear friends:
In June we came to visit lifeline. We were lucky enough to be adopted by two wonderful lab mixes(???). There names are Jessica and Sarah and they have been a total joy for us. We've had all the puppy shots and check ups and they are totally healthy and have been so since day one. We have been to puppy classes which was a blast for the two girls. They loved playing with all the other puppies and learned a few things as well. We love them to bits and look forward to coming home from work to kisses and total joy. We want to thank you for all that you do and will try to visit in the fall. I can't wait to see what they think of leaves falling from the trees, that should be a total kick.
Again, thank you so much for the puppies that you brought to us.

Dawn Koltiska: I am so glad to have found you!!!! Do you still have that adorable puppy at the end of the puppy adoption pictures, it's white with brown markings?

Kathy: I WAS LOOKING FOR AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT KIND OF INFORMATION WHEN I CAME ACROSS YOUR WEBSITE BUT BROUGHT IT UP BECAUSE I LOVE ANIMALS TOO.
JUST TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE WORK YOU DO FOR THESE PUPPIES SEEMS SO INADEQUATE! ALTHOUGH I AM NOT A PARTICULARLY RELIGIOUS PERSON, I BELIEVE THAT GOD GIVES THESE LITTLE BEINGS A PURE AND SHINING SOUL FOR THEIR JOURNEY THROUGH THIS LIFE.
EVERY PUPPY THAT YOU SAVE FROM STARVATION, HUMAN CRUELTY OR WORSE IS ANOTHER TINY SOUL THAT EXPERIENCES THE JOY OF BEING LOVED.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO ON THEIR BEHALF.

jennifer: I just wanted to say THANK YOU for adopting out my sweet angels. #'s 1377-1385. I recieved the pictures last week and just cried. My children and I were so delighted at the fact that even the puppies looked as if they were smiling too. You have such a wonderful service. I see many letters from the adoptive "parents" but I just wanted you guys to hear from the "birth" family. We appreciate your help so much and you answered our prayers. Thank you again and God Bless you all.

Jen: I adopted Macey a week and a half ago. She was a little shy at first, but has gotten used to her surroundings very quickly! She follows me wherever I go, and is absolutely adorable!!
I've told everyone I know about your organization, and would recommend it to anyone!

karen hamilton: Yesterday was Gilda Ann's first birthday. I got her last October #1764 she has added so much joy too my life, but it sure has been a tough year. She ate the tile off my kitchen floor, turned all the knobs on my gas stove on, ate carpet, chairs and anything that would not eat her. I took her for her first camping trip last weekend and she was wonderful. Once we got out of the chewing stage she could do no wrong. I love her to death and want to thank you guys for her, the kisses I get when I wake up in the morning outweigh the damage she has done to my house and yard. Anyone know what to do about yellow spots in the yard ? I can live with the holes I guess. Thanks again. When the memory of the last 10 months fades a little more I may be back for a friend for Gilda..
