Mark Zukaitis: Very nice. Think I'll order Chirita tamiana seed from the Seed Fund. I was wondering about the C. tamiana grown inthe glass bowl. Was is as in a terrarium? If C. tamiana does well in terrarium conditions I have some beautiful big bubble bowles I'd like to try it in. Need a plant that likes fairly low light, obviously or the terrium would cook (I don't have light units anymore, but lots of windows.
Do you have any suggestions for pretty gesneriad terrarium plants?

Ed Cramer: You have a great healthy looking and diverse plant collection. I am especially interested in the sinningia speciosas, mini sinningias, and micro mini sinningias. I am looking to grow them from seed and/or tubers. Where can I find some? Please advise. Thank you, Be well and good growing, Ed Cramer, 2009 Harrison, Unit 301, Evanston, IL., 60201

Faan Krüger: Very nice Strep pictures. Is seed obtainable from somewhere for me to import to SA. I still find it difficult to believe that I have problems in finding people in SA growing Streps.
The only person I know about doing scientific work on Streps is Prof. Dirk Bellstedt at the University of Stellenbosch.

PatC: Hi: Love your site! I grow Afrcan Violets & Streps, but the latter have been tough to keep alive for any length of time (other FL folks complain of the same thing). Right now, I'm doing well--have even managed to get some leaf cuttings to root AND make babies! Unfortunately, we don't "find" too many Streps here--we order, or visit nurseries N of us.
Love your cars too. Do you bring them to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona? You should!!!
Need to comment on your pets--they're gorgeous!
Have a wonderful Holiday Season! Maybe you have time to drop[ me a line. TTFN

John G. Adney: Nancy: Well-done web site. Excellent photos of excellent plants. And those cats! We have two aging male Himalayans, both lap cats (meaning they'd just as soon sleep on you as on the floor). Anyone who likes gesneriads and cats can't be all bad. :-) Like your idea of placing plastic over the light shelves. I'll have to try that.
