Anne Fogarty: Fabulous pictures. Thank you so much for this excellent advice = just exactly the questions I needed ans ! I inadvertantly because an AV violet lover when this little plant next to my reading lamp started blooming and blooming. When it grew bigger - and now I know they were 'suckers' (!) I didn't know what to do with them, so I moved them to bigger pots (!).Now I understand that was wrong (it was only last night - I should have looked for advice first ) and I'll do some surgery on the suckers, put them back in 1/3 size pots and try to root the suckers - can I root them in water as I have w/random leaves? In any case - just wanted to say thank you for generosity of advice - so very kind. Sincerely, Anne (I'm really a hiker and camper - so this is a completely new venture - but they were so pretty when they bloomed - I couldn't reisist !).

Murna Kosowan: just loved drooling over your lovely collection of prize winning plants. I attended an AVSA convention held in Austin Texas away back in the early 79's. I'm guessing of course. Can you set me straight on that? At that time I believe it was mentioned that that convention was the biggest in entry count and attendee count. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed the tour so much as we had never travelled so far south in our lives before and still haven't to this day. Robin Lent: enjoyed your pictures very much. In the last year I have had the good fortune to meet Lenora Munk. Having visited her african violet shop several times, I discovered that she no longer had many of the violets that she helped to create with her husband. Suffering from severe obsessive compulsive disorder, I set out to find her as many of the missing violets as possible. The process has been slow and demanding of time. I was hoping that you might have some ideas about where to continue my search. I would be greatful, it is not often that I get the opportunity to really make a difference.
