GARY AND ANN WRIGHT: I really enjoyed seeing your renovations and gave us some good ideas. We just purchased a 1977 Ele. in Florida - travelled from Ontario, Canada for this.
Requires some work but love the contoured look of these units, fits in our garage, has the stability of the 4 back tires so no sway - EH what else can I say

I just bought a 1978 '26 Palm Beach in Charlotte and my 10 yoa daughter and I drove the coach to our home in Steamboat Springs, CO. No problems at all except we lost a wheel cover on I 80 on the rough stretch of highway between Omaha and Lincoln. Guess that tells me that I should look into Alcoas !
The first step will be headers and a final drive change to handle the Colorado hills, then carb work. My wife is already into redoing some of the interior (though we have overstuffed seat covers [was this standard (])
I'm so glad that I am able to join the fellow ranks of GMC owners. My brother bought one new in '73 and I have wanted one ever since I drove his in the early eighties.
