margaret pratt: I bought your first book of quilting patterns in France. Lots of friends want one! I shall be at the first day of the Melbourne quilt Show in February. It will be my great treat after spending 7 weeks with family. I then fly back to the uk . Barb Hollenback: Hello, I very much enjoy your work, especially Forest, and Red Turtles. I admire too, your work ethic. My sister and her husband are self-employed and I see what a long day they put in.
I am an art quilter, retired from my former job. I finally got a few pieces in a local gallery and it was a big thrill for me. But because I am a beginner as far as exposure is concerned, I cannot demand high prices for my work. In fact, I am glad to get 50.00/sq ft. For me though, it is not my chief source of income and therein lies the difference. Thankyou for sharing your experience and your work with the quilt digest group.
