Lauren Moore: Hi havn't been on this in years and thought I would have a wee nosey at some of the pictures. Looking at the pictures of all the great times has brought back a lot of great memories from my time at ICF. It's hard to believe how much a program like ICF can impact many things in later life like how we view the world. Just want to say a huge HEY to the Guinn family and a thanks for welcoming me and my sister into their family on both occassions. You will always be my 'other family' and fingers crossed in the next few years I can get a chance to come back an visit you all.

Samantha Gault: Hello ICF, been a few years since ive been on here. I just have something to say from the heart:
ICF, where do you start? From the moment I was chosen until this very day I’ve never felt so much excitement and butterflies in my stomach all at once. I often wonder what makes an American want to take a stranger into their home, in fact what makes them want to pay that amount of money to change a child’s life? I’m not going to question it because for me it changed my whole being and made a huge difference to the young lady I have become today. For the first 10 years of my life I lived in a bitter society to which I didn’t know any different until I travelled to America and came to realise there is so much more to be done. I believe ICF helped to change and create the Belfast we know today. I realised that to change a society you first have to change a heart, and ICF done just that for me. Over the years, the many before I joined ICF and the many after I left, ICF changed so many hearts and souls creating new people and a new way of life that shines throughout our society today. How do you say thank-you to all those people that live so many thousands of miles away that took the risk of letting us into their home, into their family but most of all into their hearts? I know ICF was some of the best days of my life and I would pay happily to do it all over again. I met some of the most amazing people that life would never have led me to meet otherwise. I learned how to be independent, how to keep running when the world says stop and how open up and be friends in a society that forbids it. Each and every American I met inspired me and changed me, but also living back home attending group meetings for three years taught me morals and understanding. I can proudly say I was a member of ICF and the memories I will always carry with me. I’m sure every person that attended America, whether they stayed in the programme or not has a changed life and a new way of thinking. I know ICF is coming to an end, for me it is sad because with it a part of me dies yet a part of me is hopeful, hopeful that each Chaperone, each leader, each child, each adult, each American and each Irish takes ICF with them wherever they go in this life. And that they remember the good times, the bad times, the memories and most of all the life changing affects it has had on how we live today. Thank- you for ‘Encouraging peace in Northern Ireland through its children’ because through your love and encouragement Belfast is not so bitter and living in a new era.

Tammy Leigh: I am just making my statement to everyone who has took part in this programme for the first time or the teens who have stayed in the the programme for the last three years. I had a brilliant time and especially seeing my american family again. I have met new friends from my own religion and others who have a different religion and I have also reunited with some old friends you know who you are lol. Dan McManus (Big Dan from NW Indiana): To the Staff, Host Families and contributers of the ICF.
It has been a long enjoyable summer and it will remain in the minds of all the children at the ICF. We as teens have done are 3 years and most, i would hope, shall be returning to do further activites, not just to stay in the programe or to pass the days, but to return and do these activites with our firends. Because of the ICF us children from Belfast have got to meet new people and befriend in them nomatter what religion or race. We got to do something that is hard to accompish in Belfast on our own, make friends across the Peace Lines and Barriers.
Without further ado, i would like to thank everyone, not just the staff etc. but the CHildren for making the ICF what it is today... it makes the ICF better for the children of tomorrow.

Tommorrow's the last full day in america. 3 years, was it worth it? Hell yeah.
I've had a great time, and i know all of the other teens have. Hope the first timers remember it, and for the ones that are smart enough to know it's not just a free holiday, i hope they stick with it and go to the meetings.
For all the teens that stayed with it for three years, i hope you stay with the monthly meetings when we go back. I'll be there!! Aren't you all looking forward to it?!
If you're reading this, i hope you enjoy what time you have left in america with your families.

Thanks to everyone who made it so amaing for all of us. The ICF, The families, The donors, and even the ones back home, Gary, Paul, Paddy, Nicola, Christine, and anyone else who helped.

i first went to America in 1991 and i stayed with a family called the CLEARYS, which showed me an amazing time and way of life what it should be like and what it can be like here in Belfast if only EVERYONE would try. I went through the progamme going to Ballycastle and then back to America in 1994 which again i had an amazing time learning and having fun. I was back for a third time for the Anniversary and now and again when work allows i still try to be involed in the ICF helping at Ballycastle and calling to the Centre's

McNeill Family: Hi we would like to say hi to the duggan family in the southwest area! Jonathan and Andrew stayed there and they loved it, they had lots of different experinces like white water raftering and love it. We can't wait to visit u again. Also a hi to carolyn in the southwest area for 2002 group, Joe and Jenifer in the 2002 trip to america and Mary Jo.

Mike Donovan: I submit this as memories of this summer and of tonight are fresh in my mind. This was our third year as an ICF host family. We hosted two wonderful girls Leanne and Edel. The summer was magical. The girls are now a part of our life forever. Saying goodbye was very hard, but bonds were made that will last a life time. Its not the end but only the beginning. Thanks to all involved in the North.
