Dixie Ball: Bonnie, I got your name from the email about Miss Hudean. She was that hard old English teacher who is my most remembered one, and am so grateful for, and learned right away that I was taught more grammar than anyone else in Freshman English. That knowledge has served me well all my life, filtering down to my children also. Please tell her that one of my sons' favorite thing to do in high school was term papers, and once did a paper on O. Henry, found an unpublished book of his, and did the paper on that book. It was so interesting!! He is now an attorney and has been known to research the very first case ever done on a particular subject. At this point I am trying to learn Spanish, and that grammar is coming in real handy trying to conjugate verbs, etc. So her influence lives on and on in thousands of people and their families.
I am fascinated with all your beautiful art work. Thank you for putting it on the net. Do you happen to know Susan Clark, from Louisville? Would love to come see your studio. We live in Jackson.
