Suzanne Matthau: I am so happy to find you on the web! I went to my first Miniatures Show in NYC many years ago (sometime in the 90s and bought your group of 4 young girls playing with a pillow (edition #152 of 200 - I saw a picture of them here). I also bought a figure of a young girl with blond hair napping on a small fabric blanket for which I can't find the id card for! Your dolls are even more entrancing now than they were - each one is beautiful, and every expression is so life-like and engrossing. Please email me when you will next be in the NYC area for a show so I may plan to go!! Suzanne

Joyce Waltz: I am restoring my dollhouse my father made for me when I was 10 years old. While reading The Dollhouse book, by Stephanie Finnegan, I discovered you. Your dolls are beautiful. I went online searching to see if you are still creating these exquisite dolls. I'd love to have one for my dollhouse. Joyce Waltz

barbourdolls: Dear Susan, You are most definitely the best, ever. I was incredibly lucky enough to purchase one of your early porcelain babies at a miniature show recently. The woman purchase it in the eighties. She said that you called it your"Gerber Baby". It has a cloth body with THE most incredible face; and is wearing a beautiful christening gown by another woman named Susan(!). Years ago I eagerly awaited and collected your resin series (Amy, Claire, etc.). In a time of family need I SOLD them and have never gotten over it, although I had no choice at the time. Do these ever turn up for sale now? I want to re-obtain (and love!) them!! Also, how could I send you emails directly. This is unbelievable, but I carry your little baby around in my purse in a box. I'm so afraid to leave her (him?) at home! Hope to hear from you somehow. Oh, by the way, I saw your work at a show in Chigago in '94 - I still have the t-shirt with your name on it. Love ya'. So happy you made it through the horrible catastrophe! Rhonda

I have been a collector from Ashton-Drake Galleries for years. I bought the Doll House Book by Stephanie Finnegan and now am hooked on your doll minatures. They are wonderful. Besides eBay how can I buy them? Thank you for all of your beautiful work and I hope to add them to my collection real soon.

Angie: Just wanted to take a minute to say that I am so glad that you and Loretta are alright. I was lucky enough to purchase a mermaid baby that the two of you made last year. It is one of my most prized possesions. After all the devistation in your area, I have checked your listings periodically to see if you were back on your feet. I can't imagine what you all are going through. I continue to pray for you and everyone who has to pick up all the pieces. I think your efforts to help all the stranded pets is wonderful, you are an angel! Keep your chin up and I hope you are back to what you do best very soon. Best Wishes, Angie

Michele: Susan! I've been admiring your incredible dolls for many years (in magazines), and was absolutely thrilled when I came upon one of your eBay auctions! I've just spent a joyful hour browsing all your picturetrail albums, and was wondering if any of these are for sale, or if you take commissions. Patricia Hagan: Susan, Several years ago I was leafing through a copy of DOLLS magazine. A shop had an advertisement for a set of three dolls on a bed. The minute I saw the picture I knew it was Carol & Cheryl. I'm Jerry's wife and the girl's step-mom. Of course, I bought the set and it is on display. Thought you would like to know both girl's are married and Cheryl is a brand-new Mommy. Carol still has the doll & other things you gave her. Patricia Hagan, Mansfield, GA

Lauren: Dear Susan I came upon an artist who featured one of your dolls in her miniature exhibit, to this day I believe you are one of the most gifted doll artists. No doubt you have heard that before, you truly capture the essance and realism in a person. I was curious to know if it is possible to obtain a pricelist, as I am sure all of your dolls vary in price, is it possible to define a price range? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lauren

Florence Desruol: I live in Paris, France, Europe. I came to know your mini dolls through a German woman who edited a book and owns a shop dedicated to miniatures, in Paris. The Internet did the rest and allows me to "meet" you. Ever since, I have always been a great admirer of your work, but the more I come to know it first-hand, the deeper my admiration grows! I have 2 infants from you : the premiee infant -which was a special request from me- and which is displayed on this site and a copy of the sleeping infant which is also displayed on this site, among your first creations. THank you Susan for your talent.

Lisa Gant Fisher: I have been watching your work for some time. I really want to purchase a piece, and recently saw one on eBay. I hesitate to buy because I am unsure if he is really Susan's work. He looks authentic, but one has to be careful these days. His name is Gregory, and I want him because he reminds me of my little red-headed brother, Gregory, who was killed in a car wreck in 1979. I am an avid collector, especially of miniatures and miniature dolls. Some of these include pieces by Stephanie Blythe and Maree Massey. I hope to add a Susan Scogin soon! Thank you for your contributions to the doll world and all of us who collect! Lisa Gant Fisher Macon, GA
