Donna November 25, 2003 5:02AM Carroll Sawyer: I just bought my Nov/Dec issue of Sommerset Studio and found your work. Very nice! About a year ago I started working with collage as a change from watercolor. To me, creating images with my PC was a natural addition to all the found things and my artwork that I incorporate in the collage pieces. I use Corel PhotoPaint, CorelDraw, and Painter Classic. There's also a program called Painter8 that is even more like using art materials. I use a stylus and tablet instead of a mouse. It's nice to see work that's in the same vein. I have gotten as far as your digital collages. Now, when you come up for JS workshop you have to stay with me and bring one of your digital collages. I would love to see it in person and then pick your brain as to how you did it. I guess you will just have to come early (like Thursday) and leave late (as in Monday). The workshop is full and Connie is on a waiting list so I have an extra bed. We, Jerry and I, would really like for you to stay with us.
