You have a great sense of humor with the Think Big Collage. I have that same fish paper and have never done anything with it. How fun to see you use it. I am a member of Claudine's Yahoo group. My work is under photos under Linda C Take Care and Good Luck with your Gallery. Linda Greiss

CharlotteK: Hi - I just love the way you mix ancients, like calligraphy, with moderns, like digital - it's what it's all about, taking things out of their old 'surroundings' and giving them new life - no limits, thinking ACROSS life rather than linear - I mean, who wants to be a barcode! Thank you. CharlotteK

Harvey Stackhouse: Janice,
Rose Chapel struck me. We lost a good friend two weeks ago to cancer. Her name was Rose Van Someren. She was a great person with an equally great family. I would like to use your print to frame for her husband. Tell me what I need to do to pay you for the print and have it in the quality to frame it?
Love always,
Harvey

JerBear: Jan,
You are the epitomy of digital. The technique, execution, layering, contrast and design are definitely top-shelf. It is indeed an honor to know you professionally (you will get more referals form me!) and to know you as a friend. Keep challenging yourself, "pushing the envelope" and exploring!

susan richardson: Jan, your work is just beautiful and inspired. A spirit of love, joy, exploration and compassion comes through it. Thank you for sharing it. You've inspired me to try more stuff on my computer -- specifically photoshop, which scares me. Your computer work is not geeky at all (your sons' comments not withstanding), in fact your computer work seems to be the most spiritual -- the anti-geek.
March 23, 2004 10:40AM

Carroll Sawyer: I just bought my Nov/Dec issue of Sommerset Studio and found your work. Very nice! About a year ago I started working with collage as a change from watercolor. To me, creating images with my PC was a natural addition to all the found things and my artwork that I incorporate in the collage pieces. I use Corel PhotoPaint, CorelDraw, and Painter Classic. There's also a program called Painter8 that is even more like using art materials. I use a stylus and tablet instead of a mouse. It's nice to see work that's in the same vein. Carroll Sawyer

Ellen B. Simon: Jan, Wow! Thank you for sharing. I just started looking at your sight and wanted to write you a note before something interrupts me. I have gotten as far as your digital collages. Now, when you come up for JS workshop you have to stay with me and bring one of your digital collages. I would love to see it in person and then pick your brain as to how you did it. I guess you will just have to come early (like Thursday) and leave late (as in Monday). The workshop is full and Connie is on a waiting list so I have an extra bed. We, Jerry and I, would really like for you to stay with us. It has been such a long time since we have had any quiet time together. I'm not putting pressure on you - well, maybe just a bit - but the offer is definitely there. I have talked to Kathy about it, since she is having two other ladies stay with her also. You can let me know as late as the Thursday before the workshop. Now I must get back to the rest of your site.......Love, Ellen
