john hoekstra: Came across you 56 Nomad, very nice. I'm in the process of building a 57 Nomad and a 69 Rolls Royce. RR is a pain. Plan to put a C4 suspension under it. I see you bow hunt and I believe you are located in Colorado. You should check out Gander Mountain Sporting Goods store in Thornton/Northglenn Colorado. Dave Buell is the best and most knowledgeable about bows, you should ask for him if you visit the store. I know guys from out side Colorado who go to him. I happen to be in California. He also know good places to hunt, but it looks like you have found one also.

Robert: I would echo what others have said. You have done an incredible job of planning! Your engineering background and expertise are quite evident. With what you’ve shared here, I’ve started planning my own jig. There’s a ’57 Belair 2-door coupe awaiting me in the garage and I’m just finishing the tear-down of a salvage ’02 TransAm (donor engine/trans). You inspire!
April 9, 2004 11:44AM

Wayne Booth: You have done a nice job!! I have a 56 I am just starting and i have access to the c4 parts. One question, with the nomad gas tank where it is will everything clear? I do not want to remove the spare tire wheel well or relocate the fuel tank. Any input will be appreciated.

Dean: Today I looked at a 58 Chevy Brookwood {Nomad without the cool trim}. I understand the 58 has a different frame then 55-57, can the vette conversion still be done? And if this can be done would you be interested in doing it, what would the cost be? Thanks, Dean

October 28, 2003 4:16AM

Woody: Great site very informative. I have a 46 Ford with C4 front and rear, I have always had a vibration on acceleration or decceleration, Thought it may have been the setup with support channel or whatever it's called (the bit that goes from the box to the diff) being connected to the chassis instead of the box but it appears yours is the same

Anthony Aguiar: you know last week I was looking at my 57 post. I need a new front end and rear. Well there you are, and this is something I can do. I see them all over the internet and I mail to all my request for more information. How do I jig the whole thing to get proper geometry front end How much do I cut Where do I weld, what kind of rods What are the measurements I need, so I don't go down the road side ways If you got this information and along with you slide show I know I can do what you did tanks anthony
March 23, 2003 6:28PM

Mike Foreman: Laszlo. Iam looking into the shock absorber placement for the rear of my 57 chevy I have a 1989 Dana 44 out of a 89 vette Everything is just about where yours is . My question Does the rear shock lower mount to where the vette shock did? And looking at the pictures I will probably attach to a point for the upper shock moutt about where yiou have yours placed or so I would like to. If so my problem is that the aldan 758 has only 4.5 inches of travel. I have about 5" inches up max when the rear axle is at ride height so I would like about a 4 " upward travel and would like also to see about 3" downward travel also. However even if I could live with the 4.5 inch total of the 758 shock, I run into the problem that the shock will need to be disconnected to lower the wheel for removal as it is still tucked into the body pretty high at it lowest point. I guess I could attach with a clovis pin or something like that but what a hassel as many times as this wheel is goiung to be on and off during construction. I talked with Aldan and they agreed that the travel should not exceed 4.5 inches. Any ideas or soultions other than a longer shock.??? Thanks Mike
