We have communicated on the Lily Auction. My name is Alicar...........I have won 3 of you seed auctions.
You are in an "esteemed group of hybridizers" from Ohio, Regio 5.I live in zone 6/5b in upstate New York.
After many trial and errors, I find that Northern growers daylilies far out perform our southern hybridizers. But that is not to say I wouldn't try some of the plants.....especially southern Dormants and Semi-evergreens. I just have no luck having an evergreen daylily make it through the harsh winters.

And it is nice to see someone from my moms home town! I have not been back there since my grandparents passed away, also my dads parents lived on a farm just over the Indiana Illinoise boarder in Fountain county :-)
It would be well worth the trip to see your daylilies next summer :-)
