Dave Ferguson: Nice buncha' articles...I blushed when I realized I had actually written some of them! Glad someone read 'em!
Like Chris Hale, I was also a member of HOUROC from '72 through '84....Chris, If you read this, Gary Beedle can be contacted through his (HO-based) business, Scale Auto, at www.scaleauto.com. Thanks for keeping that lamp lit!

Tim: Very cool site! There's just one question that really has me stumped. A lot of the cars appear to have copper wipers soldered directly to the brass pan. Wouldn't this create a short??!! Or are the wipers somehow isoloated from the pan?

Grego: Hi:
I have a very interesting "custom" built HO car very similar to some on your site. It dates from 1972 or 73. I would like to send some photos of it but cannot locate the e-mail address for Michael. We are also interested in restoring this car (or having someone else restore it). Anyway, I think it would make a good addition to your site so please write if you are interested and I will send the story of the car along with some photos. Thanks - Greg

Michael Eckstein: Interesting site. More interesting we share the same name. Even more interesting is that I managed the first slot car store on Long Island, NY.

Adam Friedman: Hello, Love your site. I used to race in the 70's and was wondering if you know anyone who builds and sells custom cars of that era. Similar to the Esterline car. I raced with Gary Rider, Tony Porcelli and the like and would love to find some cars. THank you Adam
