Laurie: I am a lurker on the doll lists for the AG and the MAC. I did not realize that you had so many dolls. It is so impressive and they have literally taken over your house.
I do not have all my dolls organized as they are in my sewing room and some lack clothes. I have not yet taken the ebay plunge to sell my doll clothes but I am thinking about.
I make clothes for the AG and AG types, the MAC's and also the Lee Middleton and the Apple Valley dolls. I have made clothes also for the Cabbage Patch dolls. I have been selling them mostly through the local craft shows and also through the crafters mall. I also make clothes for a local doll shop here who gives me Lee Middleton and Apple Valley dolls in exchange for clothes.
You have inspired me to get busy and get some sewing done to use up all the fabrics that I have to dress my dolls and get my inventory up so I can sell more.
I have noticed that there are alot of clothes for the AG dolls and the baby dolls like Bitty and the LM's. There are some for the MAC's but not much.I also noted that the MT doll clothes is beginning to have more items.
When I do decide to make the ebay plunge, I was thinking on concentrating on the 18" boy doll ( Target or Apple Valley and if and when the AG gets one) and the LM Playtime Wonder as there does not seem to be much in the line of clothes for them. Do you think this is a good move?
You must be busy sewing alot. I love your combinations and your designs. You do a really good job.
Everyone is talking about Kaya. I am sure that you are getting her. Are you planning to get the Bitty Twins which are coming out in September?
Laurie in OR

sonia: hi Bev. absolutely divine. I wish i could have gotten into dolls when i was younger, didn,t start making them until i was in my late 50,s,raised 5 sons alone so was quite busy working and taking care of them, i think making dolls is an extension of raising my family. Have made 30 lg. dolls and many small ones. Just have two in my home, have given them to my friends and family. I love making them and love giving them. your home is wonderful, thank you for sharing.
August 1, 2002 4:56AM
Tracy: Wow! Thanks for sharing your dolls. It is enjoyable to see doll collectors display their dolls in their home as well as you do. Michael Ethan (my LM doll who looks like your Nathaniel) is looking forward to wearing the blue overalls I ordered from you off of Ebay. It is a pleasure knowing where they came from and I will look for more of your things in the future.
