Guestbook for: bircher
Luffy: Hi guys! Many many Thanks to Pim and his team for the great dives we did in Minahasa Lagoon resort! A la carte divnig we have never experienced before, this is one of the many + amongst others that make the differences! Others are, professional teams, always smiling and extremely helpful, they love divnig, and find underwater what you are not able to find yourself like the pygmee seahorse! The divnig sites are really beautiful, diversified and for sure everybody will find what he is looking for! We wish you many many happy safe dives!

February 24, 2007 4:01AM

Diane Murphy: Nice photos! I have to agree with your friend about going to Ireland and photographing the country and its people. It's so beautiful and enchanting. If you can't make it to Ireland, come to Chicago for St. Patty's Day. I'm sure you'll find many Irish drunken fools to photograph! The parade itself is a must see. Your sis, Diane
February 21, 2007 2:19PM

GERARD McAULEY: Hello, Really good pictures, would think it is a prof person taking the pictures, not only are the pictures technically great, you have introduced several emotional compositions, all good. You should try Australia, nice people (white & indeginious),Variaty of Landscapes and emotions from the tropics to the south also east & west.Large country nearly as large as USA. Then you should try Ireland where I was born before coming to the Land of Oz (Australia) in 1973 and have not been back since. In Ireland you can tour on a good byicle as the country is so small but the scenery changes every 29 miles as does the acccents of the natives, also extremly friendly and honest people. Kind Regards Gerry McAuley Moe,Vic, Australia.
February 2, 2007 5:17AM

Suzanne: I can tell that you have a great time taking pictures! Your pictures look great and they really make me feel like I'm there with you.
January 21, 2007 6:07AM

Lionel Beck: Many thanks for allowing me to tour Chicago with you. Probably as close as I'm going to get unless a big lottery win allows me a third visit to the USA! Best wishes from across the herring pond.
January 13, 2007 2:16AM

John: I wish I could take pictures as good as these !!!
January 12, 2007 2:16PM

bestnana1: Hey Sam, man you have some great albums. It has been a while since I've checked Picturetrail. I need to add some more myself. What type of camera do you usually use for your pictures - zoom features, megapixels, model, etc. I have an Olympus Camedia D-490 Zoom and both Smartmedia cards are just about gone and I can't find any more to fit it. My zoom is also limited and I don't like the fact that delay is too long especially if I try to take an action shot. Is there a good digital camera to capture action. I usually have to use my Canon Rebel with 800 film for this.

Have spent many happy weeks on vacation in San Diego, California and the National Parks of the West so it was great seeing all those places again. Are you still using Canon kit now? Cheers, Ian

Jeff: Hey Sam, thanks for your comments on my galleries. Went through your SD photos and they are outstanding, rich in color and compisition. I have just started doing landscapes and editiorial myself (taking a break from sports and models) when I have the time, your images drive me to get out there more!

Lionel Beck: Thanks for the tour. Loved the night shots! Best wishes, Lionel.
September 7, 2005 5:33AM

Bob: SUPER pics, Sam! Man, that Rebel's doing an amazing job for ya. I used to shoot with an old Canon blackbody A-1 and hated to put it on the shelf when the digital stuff came out. Canon sure has camera-makin' figured out, eh? Love the color saturation in your shots. Right now I'm using a Sony DSC-V1 Cybershot that I like a lot for its small size, but it sure doesn't compare with a good SLR. The San Diego stuff is very interesting. I've never been there, but if I get a chance to some day I'll hop right on it! Loved "Bun Diego". :-) I'm heading back to Europe in 18 days. Gonna be there the entire month of October so I'll have some new "Europics" up sometime in November. Hope to party with ya in A'dam some day, bud! :-) Bob "Europe's only far away if you don't go there", Bob in a drunken stupor, Feb ' 71, Corfu. http://www.picturetrail.com/bepineurope http://members.isp.com/bepineurope@isp.com/
September 6, 2005 2:21PM

Maritza: Your pictures are amazing. What lenses do you use. I recently bought a rebel xt and I'm interested in getting a new lense. Which do you prefer for travel photography. I love the vibrant colors in your pictures. Do you photoshop them or are they straight from the camera.
August 24, 2005 10:58PM

Josie: I think your pictures are absolutely amazing. I got onto your website from a testimonial u left on amazon.com. I am just a Mom wanting to get good pics of the kids growing up and have a Canon Rebel 2000 EOS SLR camera and want to upgrade the lens so that I can actually see the kids at a concert without taking out the magnifying lens can you help me please. Like I said, I am no pro, just a Mum who loves taking pics and want a lens that will do a good job. Thanks for your time and allowing people to see your fantastic pictures. Josie
August 16, 2005 2:51PM

The Italian pics brough back the best memories for me - my wife and I were there the year before you, and we included a visit to Siena (also Florence and Pisa). See http://www.lionelbeck.btinternet.co.uk/italy.htm

June 30, 2005 7:09PM

John Gilmore: Hello: I join other guests in raving about your photos. I'm curious, are you a professional photographer, because your shots say you are. I'm also curious about your camera and lenses. To shoot such marvelous pictures, I'm guessing you have a lot invested in equipment. I hope to hear from you. Maybe there is hope for me. The best.
June 23, 2005 11:31AM

Eduard Labadia: Sam, Your photo-journalism, honed thru a few years' posting and learning experience in this photo album site, has significantly picked up steam and this is no longer anything "small-time"... it's HUGE and still getting larger with elan. I'll skip the "keep up the good work" cliche.. just do what you love most, Sam. :-) Tito Edward

Kay Tracy: Hi, got your pictures from your comment on the Rick Steves site. I would like to see the wedding pictures if you allow this but you need a password. thanks Kay
March 21, 2005 7:27AM

Tito Eduard: Sam, I'd been sluggish lately answering mail as the workplace picked up steam since February- meaning my usual cybertime when I get home had been limited to just reading, sans the interacting. I believe it's about time you've hosted a photo blog but not necessarilly abandoning your Picturetrail account. With a photo blog you would have more leverage as a host and that should bring your graphic presentations a big leap to another level. My hat's up to you, Sam.... and Ooohhh.... you're really a beeeeeer buggy!! Heh Heh Heh
March 18, 2005 11:05PM

Close to retirement, I shall try to visit some of the other places you have already gone. I would like to meet you either in person or on line! Write sometime. Bob
February 27, 2005 5:59AM

Lionel Beck: Ye gods! You have more albums and photos than you can shake a stick at. I've bookmarked the site for a return visit, otherwise I'll be up all night looking at these great pics. So far I've only done Scotland and Paris. Happy memories for me. My wife and I have stood next to that early "ICBM", been up the Wallace Monument, been to Housesteads at Hadrians Wall and also stayed in Paris (what a great city!), been up the Eiffel Tower, rode the Metro, and we have a nightmare memory of driving our car round the Arc de Triomphe in a trillion lanes of ill-disciplined traffic in the pouring rain! Thanks for the memories!

Tito Ed: Hey, Sam, It took me ages to finally explore what's beyond your Hawaiian Punch. For good reasons. I've checked it out myself on the flesh (just back from Waikiki, from Sept.1-7. We stayed at the Ocean Resort Hotel (fronting the Marriot). I'd build an album too on similar subjects later just as I'm now more focussed in helping out with our media promo preparations for our forthcoming digital photography exhibition in LA on 9/17-10/16. Great adventures preserved in colorful photography you've once again shared with us. Thanks!!!!! Uncle Ed

Your beautiful sister who traveled with you to Sco: The website could have been improved if you had just added a bit more photos of me! As Jason put it - AWESOME! Your website had wonderful captions and interesting facts. We were so fortunate to meet terrific people in Scotland and more terrific people in France who came out to the wedding. We made some wonderful memories and got to experience many intersting things. Will never forget the "godfather" in Generac let alone the "chasing of the bulls". Next year is Italy, Sam. Danny and I would love to have you as our tour guide. But then again there's Andy! Please mark your calendar for Spring Break 2004.
