Album: The American Heritage Dictionary Cow

Paint It! was proud to participate in the Boston Cow Parade, June 3 - September 5th, 2006. Throughout the summer of 2006, nearly 200 life-sized cows, painted and created by local and national artists, grazed the streets and public areas of Boston for all to enjoy.

Houghton Mifflin Company was the sponsor for the American Heritage Dictionary Cow, designed and created by Carol Leonesio of Paint It! All sponsor fees, and proceeds from the auction of the the cows at the end of the Summer, benefited the Jimmy Fund. My cow, affectionately named "Cowleen", netted over $2000 for the Jimmy Fund, not including Houghton Mifflin's generous donation.

Carol and Cowleen

Carol gives Cowleen one last hug before letting her go off to the streets of Boston.
