Album: Kato Polyclay CHA Box Exhibit 2005

I was one of 50 polymer clay artists invited to participate in this juried exhibit. We were provided with Kato polyclay and asked to create a polymer clay box. They were exhibited at the Kato Polyclay booth at the CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Show in Atlanta, Georgia in February, 2005. My box was selected as one of 10 Honorable Mentions.

“Double Vision” Box. I have been interested in kinetic art (art which moves and changes) for years. For this challenge I wanted to create a box that could be viewed and displayed in several different ways. Viewed one way it is a black and white box and, when spun around, is a orange and gold box. The round beads also spin to reveal designs in black and white on one side, colored designs on the other. Photos ©2007 Eric Smith
