Album: St John's School Banner

Gala Day which was originally funded by the Carnegie Trust Fund is a fun day for all the family and begins with the children of each primary school marching behind their banners in procession with pipe bands and other groups the High Street and into the beautiful Pittencrief Park. Each School then has a sectioned area of the park to play team games and races and eat the contents of their provided lunchbox. The rest of the day is spent with their families enjoying the free entertainment provided.

All 3 of my children have been privileged to have attended St Johns primary school. My older 2 children David and April have only fond memories of their time there and of the warm and caring attitude of the staff, parents & children. My youngest Child Harry still attends the School and is in his 4th year. It occurred to me that the much loved painted banner was in need of a revamp and something I could do to give a little back in return for the happiness enjoyed by my children at ST Johns.
