SNIP!

I was thrilled to receive these hand-knit socks as a gift. They fit, but quite honestly, I wished they were half an inch longer. Socks this length would probably fit me if they had a good deal more stretch, but the two-color pattern is less stretchy than regular knitting. I decided to add another round of diamonds before the toe design. The top white stripe seemed like a good place to detach and reconnect the toe. By the way, I did not tell the knitter of these socks anything about my plans until post-op. With sharp scissors, the sock surgery saga begins. Once I cut the toe off Sock #1 there was no looking back.
