Banners

This is a picture from the local paper to mark the occasion of presenting a set of Banners which I worked on for the City of Dunfermline Scotland. These banners were designed by the art students at Lauder College Dunfermline where I studied & was awared the college prize for City & Guilds Embroidery student of the year. The banners which were 8 foot long were designed to hang in the High st & were commisioned by the Town centre managment company and Fife council. The banners, depicting the town and some of its most prominent locations such as The Abbey, Abbot House & the City Chambers and historical figures linked with the town such as Queen Margaret, Robert the Bruce & Andrew Carnegie.
