"The IrisPatch"

Another stumpwork piece. A lovely little detail, fully stitched in single strands of mulit~hand dyed & satin threads. The Iris patch has a lovely pale blue sky which blends down to a green fabric painted background. The iris flowers are stitched using a combination of satin, stem and detatched buttonhole stitches. The padded raised rocks in the forefront are stitched over in satin stitch to complete the picture. This piece is my own design using a picture from a birthday card and my own sketches for source. As the Iris is my favourite flower this little piece was a delight to work on and is truly special. 37mm x 32mm SOLD
