Middle of Feathered Border

When I work from the corners into the center, I don't do any measuring. I just work across the space. I do mark where the center of the border is and will have one of the "swirls" of feahters cover the center. I will then work from the opposite corner to the center and have the feathers go "under" the feathers that are already stitched.
