• I am working on this for a client. The awning will be 16 1/2 feet wide. I am starting the awning flush with the ceiling with out the scallops on the top. Would you suggest using velcro to attach the awning to a thin mounting board instead of the hardware?

• Stacey, there is no rod. It is pvc pipe. The pattern gives all the instructions for making the projections and all the pieces you will need.

• Make the valance the full width at the bottom edge and then put a dart in from the bottom rod piont to the top edge. this will create a return which looks very nice.

• love the look of indoor awings just not sure I love the look without returns can returns be added so as not to see through form the side??
