I wore a blac silk padded roll hat, with a short veil pinned to it. I want to embellish this hat with some small pearls, as it is pretty, but could be even fancier! this dress was extremely comfortable, fit like a dream, and was very elegant. I made a few notes as to what else I would do to it, and I think the next thing will be to add an additional four inches to the bottom (with a band of fabric) and then sew some very small drapery weights into the hem. It is a very lightweight fabric, with not enough 'weight' in my opinion, for the skirt to hang the way I would like. I will also add false close fitting black silk sleeves, too, to cover my chemise sleeves (the white ones), and maybe applique my badge (a chess knight sable on a lozenge argent -- a black chess knight on a white diamond!) on the bottoms of the sleeves.
