Album: My Original Version of Lulu

When I seen the photograph of Mimi, from the Drew Carey Show, in this dress, I decided I had to try and make this doll. The face of this Original is sculpted from clay with a cloth over covering. She stands 23" tall and was the prototype for the Lulu I teach at Craft College. The subsequent Lulu has an all muslin body, including the face and head.

This is the Original version of Lulu. She was done from a photo of Mimi that appeared in the magazine section of the Sunday newspaper. Her face is a sculpt with cloth-over.
