The pyrographic art displayed here are original works. These pieces were created using the nearly lost ancient art form of pyrography (woodburning). Single temp Dremel and Walnut Hollow pens were used (I prefer these, although there are several multi-temp & more sophisticated systems available). The degree of darkness is determined by temperature of the woodburning tool and how slowly or quickly the hot pen nib is moved over the surface to be burned.
