Golden Gate 50th anniversary party

I wqas stuck in the damn airport in New York, trying to get back from a month long trip to Russia when this celebration was going on. Was supposed to have gone up in one of the towers with Gene Vick to take photos. Good thing we didn't - the bridge was MOBBED with over 300,000 people. Good thing we put a NEW bridge deck on that year - or they'd ALL have gone swimming or died from the 350 ft. fall...!
