Red Cross Volunteer

At the World War II Memorial dedication in Washington DC, some friends and I with the Capital Crocheters and Knitters (CCK) volunteered to knit re-creations of "knitting for the troops" projects from WWII. We put a fashion show and knitting demonstration/lesson down at the National Mall. Dressed in historic Red Cross Service Corps uniform, that's me standing next to the man, holding the Red Cross commemorative sock knitting kit(tin). Note the gown and veil OVER my regular clothing! I also teach knitting classes now and then at the Red Cross Headquarters as part of CCK's Catch A Class program. http://www.knit-out.org/cck.htm
