Red Cables

My favorite sock yarn is still and will probably forever be SILJA. These are a surprise gift, but I can't wait to make a pair for myself. Based on a pattern in Sensational Knitted Socks, by Charlene Schurch (one of the best sock books ever). I made the cuff a little fancier than the original pattern, also modified the pattern eliminating 2/5 stitches between cables right after the gusset decreases. Due to my yarn/gauge, this worked out better for a great fit. Correction to the pattern: The heel turn should start with Row 1 (WS): Sl 1, P12 (17), P2tog, P1, turn.
