Album: Cardinal & Stars Quilt

Cardinal and Stars Quilt, pieced and quilted by Cindy Roth, Renton, WA, December 2003. I made this quilt as a Christmas gift for my Mom and Dad, Ruth and George Craig of Lindenhurst, IL.

The quilt was designed using EQ5 software using a free paper pieced bird pattern by Jodie Davis (www.iejodie.com. I used the Marti Michelle templates to piece the blocks. The quilt has Soft and Bright batting and is stitched with gold, Rheingold High Sheen Poly thread. The same thread is used in the bobbin. The Longarm University Feather Guides were used to make the border feather pattern. All the stitching was done free hand, excpt for the use of templates to make the circles. It took me about two full days to both piece and quit this quilt. I know that my Mom & Dad (both are bird lovers) will love this quilt.
