Album: Amelia's Graduation

Most people who know us think we have a niece named Amelia. Yes, we do, she just doesn't happen to be related by blood. She was born to our best friends, Peter & Kathleen, 18 years ago, and has spent most summers and many school breaks with us in SC. We love her as our own & are so very proud of her for graduating from Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania on June 6, 2009!!

While Amelia was in Alaska with us in 2006, she was accepted into Mercersburg, which is a private high school. She completed her sophomore, junior & senior years there. She has been accepted into Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA and will begin classes in August 2009. They actively recruited her, in part, because she has excelled in field hockey for many years. (do I need to say it again?) We are all very, very proud of Amelia & her achievements.
