Album: ARIZONA/CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 2009

Since leaving Parker, AZ on January 1st, we have been 'boondocking', otherwise known as 'dispersed camping' on government lands in the AZ & CA desert. You will note most of this land appears quite stark in the pictures, however, it holds a beauty totally unique to the desert. Not to mention the beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and moonrises. Also, you can have as big a campfire as you want!! No rules or regulations!

Well, maybe it's not quite New Year yet but when I traveled cross country, from Florida to California, on 22 December, it felt like the year was about over. Not to mention I lost a week with a head cold and adjusting to Mountain Standard Time. Hey, it's all uphill from here!! Time to explore some new territory and make new memories!!
