There is a large open X shape quilting over the dark blues area and a pinwheel quilted over the golden area. The center fabric under the pinwheels shows pinwheels so that is where the inspiration for the pinwheel design in the quilting came from. This is just a gorgeous quilt! I feel privileged to have been given this quilt top to quilt. An honor.
