1. William Butman, a Searsport sea captain, was Mary Butman Sargent's father. The photo was marked as William Butman (Mary's handwriting?). On back says Mezzo-Jinto process patented July 1867, and H. L. Kilgore, Photographer, Belfast, Maine.
