Album: Ode to Foxy Jean

Most of you probably knew me as just plain old 'Foxy' but my middle name was 'Jean'. My nickname was 'FJ' as in Toyota FJ Cruiser because I've spent the past six years 'cruising' around. I cruised the country in my motorhome, traveling all over the United States, Canada and even Alaska! I also cruised around my domicile. Whether we were in the motorhome, our lake house, a beach rental, I cruised the inside of my domain. (I never, ever went outside). You can read about how I came to live with my favorite people here - http://casseescastle.com They saved me from an early demise by rescuing me from the kill shelter when I was only seven. Sadly, I only had six short years to enjoy with them before my kidneys failed to function. My human Dad gave me the best care a girl with my condition could receive. I tolerated medication, fluid therapy, and a special diet for seven months like a trooper. Consequently, my quality of life was very good until just a couple days before I went on to the next life. On June 17, 2008, I left them with dignity and grace. They will miss me and my silly antics very much.

I will miss watching the birds from the windows and playing with bugs flitting on the screen at night and chewing on Mom's fresh flowers, then throwing up on the floor. I will miss jumping on the bathroom counter begging for fresh running water and sneaking onto the kitchen counter when nobody is looking to see if there is any bacon or sausage. I will miss napping in the sunshine in my favorite spot and I will miss tickling Mom and Dad's face with my whiskers in the middle of the night while they are sleeping. I will miss begging for treats and rolling over for a belly rub when I am content. I will miss laying on my Dad's chest when he is trying to read and I will miss sitting by the dinner table staring at my Mom until she gives me a tidbit. Most of all, I will miss the love and companionship and wonderful life we had together!!
