Album: Allison Marie

Allison Marie was born April 1, 2008 at 11:25pm. She weighed in at 5lb 6oz and was 18.5in long. Jill was in labor for about 4 hours and gave birth without ANY pain meds. The nurses dropped the ball bigtime and didn't get them there in time. But Allison really wanted out and wasn't gonna wait! I stayed overnight with her and the baby but Allison was really a pretty quiet kid and we got a little bit of sleep. Quite the change from David's birth! Jill and Allison finally came home the afternoon of the 3rd as they wanted to keep her 1 more night.

Allison is doing really well now. A couple weeks back she had caught a cold and really had us worried. I had a cold and with the weather really cold and crappy -not normal for this time of year- she ended up catching it. But she is pretty much over it now and the weather is finally showing signs of improvement. We've taken her outside every chance the sun pokes out and she seems to really enjoy it. She is definately more animated now cracking smiles and really funny expressions! She not quite sleeping through the night yet but she'll go 3-4 hours, sometimes, at the most.
