Repurposed Pages Sewn Folder Book with Christy Hawkins Saturday, July 18 10:30 A.M. to Who Knows? $35.00 Learn to make a simple sewn book which features a flap folded over the cover. We’ll also incorporate “repurposed” themed imagery and rubber stamping. The theme of the imagery is “domestic bliss” and will include advice for the domestic goddess from bygone days. The pages are 3" x 5" and will include some envelopes and pockets. First we’ll make the cover, fold the pages, make the envelopes and sew the book. If you want to use the book for your own contents, you’ll be able to leave at that point. If you want to stay and begin to use the six pages of recipes, cures, advice, etc. from all different eras, allow more time. If you like the wisdom of the ages, there will be future sheets offered for sale at A Small Cleverness which you could add to the book on your own. You might want to bring lunch. Bring your workbox. Please bring a book awl if you have one. You will need a good, new glue stick, your exacto and cutting mat, and a metal edge ruler.
