Basic Silk Painting The Serti Technique with Nina Tarnuzzer Saturday, April 4 10:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. $25.00 This is a workshop exploring painting on silk using Dyn-Na-Flow fabric paints and the resist method of creating images. The colors flow and blend in beautiful patterns. We will be painting a 21- inch square scarf with discussions of selecting silk, water-based resists, and paints that heat set with an iron. While there are many simple steps in silk painting, the end results can be gorgeous and lasting. Supplies provided in class fee will include a simple brush, paints, resist, small silk hoop, and silk frame. Bring: silk pins to secure scarf to frame, a 21-inch square white silk scarf (available at A Small Cleverness) that has been hand washed in mild soap and ironed flat, and workbox.
