Album: California Desert & Arizona-Feb 2008

We arrived 'the mesa' between Borrego Springs and Salton City, CA on February 11th, 2008. Exactly two years earlier we met up with Jim & Susan at this spot before our sojourn to Alaska. After chilly and rainy weather in January the hot, sunny desert weather was welcomed.............until it snowed!! This area receives less than 4 inches of precipitation per year!! It was beautiful to see and was all melted the next day when the temperature returned to the 70's.

On February 17th, we started the trek eastward with 2,525 miles before we reach Florida in early March!
