Virginia's Quilt of Ties

Virginia's husband passed away and to give a very nice present to her girls who loved their dad a lot, she decided to make two quilts from his ties. This is the first of the two. I handguided all the feathered quilting and think it looks wonderful. Her main fabric was a sateen so it has a sheen not just in the silk ties, but in the background fabric and backing too.
