Gate Frame Interior View

This is our standard wood gate frame. It is constructed of vertical and horizontal 2" x 4" members. These members are then morticed (lap jointed), liquid nailed and then screwed together. This process insures stable joints as opposed to butting and toe-nailing the outer frame. The angle brace is then inserted, running from the bottom of the hinge post side of the gate, to the top of the latch side. The latch pictured is a Maxima Deluxe Gravity Latch.
