Aluminum Slats

Aluminum slats provide more privacy than vertical slats because they are installed on an angle, fitting snugly into the fabric's diamond pattern. Once the pattern of the slat design is in place over several feet, a locking slat is installed.

In this picture, the pattern is 6 - green / 2 - white. The duel white locking strips complete the formation of the white diamond. This gives you the white outlined diamond with the green fill.

There are fantastic upside aesthetic design possibilities to aluminum slats. The one big downside though is they tend to blow out over time on the bottom and tops due to their fold over design and the fact that your base pattern does not weave with the fabric. This also makes for one difficult installation on windy days.
