Estate pasture fences for the use of horses tend to have some slight specification differences from residential estate fences beyond that of material sizing. It is generally recommended that the rails and face plates of the fence be installed on the inside of the fence and that the post top cuts be cut back away from the rails at no more than 30 degrees. Pasture dividing fence lines should be railed on both sides with the top of the post peaked, again at no more than 30 degrees.
