16' Double Drive Gate

This is a case of mixed specification. Often structural concerns will have leave you with a mix of product specifications, especially when dealing with gates and gate openings.

This gate is for a residential grade fence. However, with a 16' opening, 1-3/8" tubing would not be structurally sound. So, this gate is constructed of 1-5/8" SS20 (.085) with an 11.5 gauge fabric fill. The gate posts are 3" x SS20 and all hardware is commercial grade.

Due to a rapid grade change to the left of the gate, the gate is stepped down and the top rail line of the gate extends to match the top rail of the fence to the right.
