Post Tie

While rail ties tie from one side of a fabric diamond to another, post ties seldom will. This is due to the vertical plumb of a post installation as well as it's width and the fact that fabric seldom runs plumb as it follows the lay of the land (grade). However, you still want post ties installed equally close to the post, as are your rail ties to the rail. Here is a close up view at what a properly tied post tie looks like.
