Wood & Wire

This is a 4' high, 2" x 4" x 12.5 gauge welded wire fence. The posts are 4" x 4" Dog-eared wood posts. The pull post (corner, end or gate posts) are 4" x 4" running from the top of the pull post to the bottom of the first line post (commonly called a "K" brace).

The biggest installation trick with welded wire is taking out the slack. Since welded wire is a "fixed" wire (all parts welded together) it does not adjust to grade changes well leaving slack at either the top or bottom of the fabric. To remove this slack we use "z" crimps which we apply to the fabric. If you look closely to the nearest bay pictured you can see where we "z" - crimped the wire to remove the upper slack.
