Split Rail: 3 – rail, welded wire

Pictured here is an inside view of a double drive gate that has been installed on the three rail split rail fence. Further up the line of fence you can see a walk gate. These gate styles are a spaced picket design with a scallop cut. Spacing and style can be varied for one's particular taste adding a distinct look to one's fence in gate.

In general, we do not recommend split rail manufactured gates. Part of the reason is that by using a 2" x 4" mortised frame one achieves a much stronger support structure than any nailed split rail gate can.
