Just Because Exchange - Jaygee

Oriental Butterflies In another exchange on the Cross-Stitching forum, my partner was Jaygee. She likes butterflies, and I really wanted to do something nice because I like it when people love my gifts! I found this design in a cross stitch book, and stitched it as a bell pull, but altered it from the final design shown in the book. I made my boyfriend cut and sand the dowelling (we had to buy 2.4m of it for a tiny bit, but fortunately I needed some for a Textiles project so it didn't go to waste!) and stitched it on using the three shades of pink to outline the whole design (we didn't have any Zweigart band). I even insisted on putting the exact colour beads on it (had to buy some!) - my Mum was not very happy since we have thousands of beads in various different colours!
